There’s a saying that once a year, every year, something in your household will break.

 

typically when this saying is repeated we think of our vehicles needing oil changes, air-conditioning units breaking in mid-summer, or plumbing going to the wayside.

through this series of work i have explored and attempted to compensate the parts of me that have broken. however, instead of having to reckon with my finances, i am reckoning with my own odium sui.
